Prayer and Fasting

The Bible gives examples of God’s people occasionally combining fasting with their
prayers so as to stir up their zeal and renew their dedication and commitment to Him.

King David wrote that he “humbled himself with fasting” (Psalms 35:13). Fasting is a means of getting our minds back on the reality that we are not self-sufficient. Fasting
helps us realize just how fragile we are and how much we need to depend on God in all things.

Join us from 18-20 January as pray and fast as a church. We will meet each night from 18:00-19:00
at 13 Louis Road to pray together. On Wednesday 20 January we will break our fast by sharing a
meal together after praying.

18 Jan Pray from 18:00-19:00
19 Jan Pray from 18:00-19:00
20 Jan Pray from 18:00-19:00 and break fast/eat from 19:00-20:00.
Cost: R20 per family and R10 singles
