Vision

Lighthouse to the Nations Church was planted in 2002 out of Cornerstone Church. 30 passionate people in love with the Lord were used by Him to launch the church and advance His kingdom.

Over the years the Lord has given us clear vision and direction as to what it is that He has for us as a church. Please visit our Key Prophetic Words page to view some of the words that have shaped The Lighthouse’s vision and direction over the last few years.

Proverbs 29:18a (AMP)  Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish…

The following is a summary of our Vision.

God’s Vision for the Lighthouse:

For us to be A HEALING COMMUNITY – Isaiah 61 vs 1-11

A healing community of people who LOVE and CARE for the LORD and ONE ANOTHER above all else. Because of this love, we want to share what we have with the WORLD by REDEEMING and RESTORING that which has been lost or stolen.

For us to be A BASE CHURCH – 1 Thessalonians 1 vs 2-10

Where we TEACH, TRAIN and EQUIP ourselves in the WORD OF GOD and the WAYS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.  So that we can EXPORT what we have to the NATIONS by SENDING and RELEASING our very best SONS and DAUGHTERS.

We believe that this is the PRIORITY of the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT for us.

Our Vision or the Father’s?

Two approaches:

• We make our plans and ask the Lord to bless them.

Or
• We ask the Father, what are you doing and what part do you want us to play in that which you are already doing in the earth?

The latter is our approach. God’s prophetic stirrings for us:

Living to see Jesus’ 2 Greats Squared in our Lives!

1. We are motivated by the Great Commandment
Loving the Lord by Loving people.
Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”  Mark 12:37-40

2. We are moved to fulfil the Great Commission
Impacting our Neighbours & the Nations.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20

Motivation:

For the Glory of the Loving Father. Through the Finished work of Jesus, the Son. By the empowering of the Holy Spirit.
